‘KAITHARI’ which means Handloom in Tamil, celebrates creativity of Handloom weavers from villages, small towns and other remote areas. Handloom industry is a traditional cottage industry in India. Our country has harbored innumerable traditional handlooms and handicrafts and brings forth contemporary designs for India and the world to consume. The strength of handloom lies in ease of introducing new designs, which cannot be replicated by the Power loom sector.

Small towns and villages do not have the diversity of people or the financial market to support such creativity. We celebrates the collective creativity of Handloom weavers from villages, cities and towns. An idea that believes that each one of us has that spark to color life and world in our own strokes. It is the story of reclaiming the diversity and of having a million narratives. 

The USP of the handloom sector is it's weavers. The power of outcome that cannot be accomplished by machines but can be achieved by skillful weavers only. It ensures the sustainability of handloom industries and empowers men & women of rural areas across the country.  We are also creating employment opportunities, providing support to small scale industries, contributing to our Country’s economy.
